The Williamsport Parking Authority has updated its schedule of parking fines, effective. The new amounts apply to both on-street and off-street violations throughout the city.
Most violations are now $20.00 or $25.00, replacing the previous escalating fine structure. A few changes worth noting:
- Meter violations are $20.00, reduced to $10.00 if paid within 24 hours.
- Safety and obstruction violations — blocking a crosswalk, fire hydrant, loading zone, or parking to the corner — are $25.00.
- Lot, garage, and permit violations range from $20.00 to $25.00 depending on the violation.

The enforcement page also covers time restricted zones, metered spaces, permit areas, and accommodations for patrons with a valid handicap hangtag or plate.
Fines can be paid at the WPA office, at any payment drop box, or online.
